Everything you need to know to live a unique experience among vineyards, award-winning wineries, Michelin dining and the majestic Andes mountains.
Getting There · When to Visit
Mendoza is located in western Argentina, at the foot of the Andes. The nearest wine regions — Maipú, Guaymallén and Luján de Cuyo — are just 20–30 minutes by car from the city center.
Direct flights from Santiago, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Lima and Panama. Connections from anywhere in the world via Santiago de Chile.
Aerolíneas Argentinas, Flybondi and JetSMART connect Mendoza with Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Córdoba, Salta and other Argentine cities.
Direct services from Santiago de Chile arrive at Terminal del Sol in Guaymallén, adjacent to the city center.
Mendoza's climate is dry and mild, with over 300 sunny days per year. Summers above 35°C (95°F), cool winters with occasional snow in the mountains.
Fall and spring are the ideal seasons — the vineyard landscape in autumn is extraordinary: red, orange and gold at the foot of the Andes.
If your dates are flexible, prioritize April, May, June, September, October and November: low season with the best prices.
March is unique: end of summer and the National Grape Harvest Festival — one of the most important celebrations in South America.
Mendoza's Wineries
Of the more than 2,600 wineries in and around Mendoza, approximately 900 offer tourist experiences. Each one tells a different story.
To help you choose, we classify them by scale and style. You can also choose by architecture — traditional or modern — or by the type of dining experience they offer.
| Category | Features | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Large | Large-scale production, impressive infrastructure, iconic architecture | First visit, groups |
| Mid-size | Controlled production, premium wines, personalized service | The perfect balance |
| Boutique | Unique projects, cult wines, connoisseur experiences | Wine lovers |
